Congregation Beth Judea, a Conservative synagogue that has been serving the Northwest suburban area since 1968, is proud to announce another class in its Fall Semester Adult Academy.
The Men's Hebrew Literacy Class is very popular at Beth Judea. In this beginner's class, instructors Sandy Victor and Eric Yegelwel will teach you how to read Hebrew regardless of your level of previous instruction, through a 12-week program from the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs. It will make learning to read Hebrew as easy as child's play. The class is open to any adult, regardless of affiliation.
Classes will be held on Tuesday nights from 8:00 - 9:00 PM. The dates are: September 14, 21 and 28; October 5, 12, 19 and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; and December 7. "Graduation" will be on Friday night, December 10 at 7:30 PM.
The cost is $30, which includes the "Shalom Aleichem" textbook, payable to the Beth Judea Men's Club. To register, please contact the synagogue office at 847/634-0777 and leave a message for Sandy. Beth Judea is located on IL Route 83 and Hilltop Road in Long Grove.
